The mission of the Department of Teacher Education is to prepare professionals who are well developed academically, socially, spiritually and physically with the right balance of knowledge, attitudes, values and skills for efficient and effective performance in the world of work; professionals who will provide a high standard of scholarly service at the workplace and to their clients, and who will practice their profession in a wholistic manner through role model influence, a sound philosophy of christian education, personal integrity and respect for others.

The Department of Behavioural Science seeks to assist students in contributing to the advancement of knowledge, and the improvement of their understanding of the dynamics of human behaviour and relationships. They are empowered to become self-fulfilled and to occupy worthwhile positions in society, thereby utilizing their knowledge and capabilities for the benefit of humanity.
